Kilmainham Mill, Rowerstown Lane, Dublin 8.
The architect Juan O'Gorman pointed out that organic architecture takes into consideration the geographical conditions and identity of a place to promote a design process that emphasizes the importance of research and planning. He believed that harmonious structures integrate with the surrounding landscapes, achieving a connection between users and their environment.
In line with that, the Pet-Inclusive Community Hub is born out of the idea of community, because "Community Matters," along with the significance of belonging and the surrounding area. This project aims to preserve the protected structure of Kilmainham Mill, which is hidden within the natural and legendary surroundings of Dublin.
This new architectural intervention creates a fully inclusive community hub that not only benefits the local community but also enhances the daily activities of all members in the Kilmainham area. The design focuses on the needs of local animals and pets, proposing a universal and beneficial approach.
