Abhaile is a series of documentary style photographs addressing the housing crisis in Dublin. The body of work consists of typology grids and single images that question the idea of home through visual sequences while also confronting and raising awareness to the serious ongoing issue. The number of homeless adults and children have risen above ten thousand for the first time since the pandemic and the cost of living continues to rise. Various public meetings and protests are being held across the city to propose ideas and options for better living conditions, but they continue to be restricted by government and laws. We need to work together to find solutions and alternative policies that address and stop the crisis.
