Sacred Geometry is a conceptual work exploring themes of presence and time, rooted in the photographer’s own journey to find existential meaning. Through his use of the large-format camera, as well as other analogue formats, Peter engages with a variety of domestic landscapes, seeking out places of mystery and heritage, and examining people’s connection to the elemental.

Exploring various structures, both modern and ancient, the artist investigates their familiar and esoteric symbolic function in the landscape. The mystical qualities of these monuments, and celestial association, raise questions of presence, both spacial and temporal. Although existing as simulacra to their Egyptian counterparts, the pyramids nonetheless function as representations of their creators’ ambitions on immortality, symbols of vanity and vestiges of ancient wisdom.
